Youth Advocacy Forum of Pakistan Youth Parliament Visits Punjab Assembly for Policy Engagement and Leadership Development
Lahore, Pakistan – [10th September 2025]
The Youth Advocacy Forum (YAF), a dedicated platform under the umbrella of Pakistan Youth Parliament (PYP), successfully organized a high-impact visit to the Punjab Assembly, marking a significant milestone in its journey of empowering young advocates, law students, and professionals across the country. Within just one year of its inception, the Forum has not only established its presence nationwide but has also become a hub of meaningful youth-led initiatives and policy dialogues.
During the visit, the Youth Advocacy Forum delegation was welcomed with a comprehensive briefing on the legislative processes of the Punjab Assembly. Members had the opportunity to tour the newly constructed Assembly Hall, the largest in Asia, as well as the historic Old Assembly Hall, where an exclusive policy session was conducted. This provided participants with a unique chance to witness the intersection of parliamentary history and modern governance.
The delegation also engaged in detailed discussions with the Secretary of Parliamentary Affairs, followed by an interactive policy debate hosted by the Parliamentary Development Unit (PDU). These sessions gave young advocates a deeper understanding of parliamentary functions, democratic accountability, and the critical role of law in shaping public policy.
President Pakistan Youth Parliament, Muhammad Abubakar, who also joined the visit, appreciated the remarkable efforts of the Youth Advocacy Forum’s leadership. He extended his heartfelt congratulations to President Akif Rasool, Vice President Nauman Majeed Khan, Joint Secretary Hadeed Ali, General Secretary Ch. Burhan Namdar, and the entire YAF cabinet for their commitment and dedication in making this visit a resounding success.
Speaking on the occasion, President PYP emphasized, “The Youth Advocacy Forum is not only a platform for law students and advocates but a space where future policymakers are nurtured.
