Delegation of Pakistan Youth Parliament Visits ANF Regional Headquarters Sindh
Karachi: A delegation of Pakistan Youth Parliament (PYP) visited the Regional Headquarters of the Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Sindh, where they were warmly welcomed by senior officials of the force. The highlight of the visit was an interactive and thought-provoking session with Brigadier Muhammad Umar Farooq, the Regional Commander ANF Sindh.
The delegation was led by Mahnoor Ayaz, President of the PYP Sindh Cabinet, under the special directives of Muhammad Abubakar, President of Pakistan Youth Parliament.
During the session, Brigadier Muhammad Umar Farooq briefed the delegation on ANF’s operations, focusing not only on counter-narcotics efforts but also on demand reduction, rehabilitation initiatives, and youth engagement strategies. He emphasized that drug abuse is a grave threat to our society, particularly targeting youth, and that anti-state elements are actively trying to destroy the future of the country by pushing narcotics into our communities.
He appreciated the role of youth forums like Pakistan Youth Parliament in promoting awareness and encouraged young leaders to step forward as ambassadors in the fight against drugs. Brigadier Farooq further stated that ANF is always open to collaborative campaigns in educational institutions and communities to raise awareness and strengthen prevention efforts.
On behalf of the Pakistan Youth Parliament, the delegation presented a comprehensive suggestion draft outlining ideas for joint awareness campaigns, seminars, workshops, and youth mobilization activities.
The visit concluded with an exchange of commemorative shields, symbolizing mutual respect and future cooperation.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahnoor Ayaz remarked, “The youth of Sindh stand united against the menace of drugs. We are committed to playing a leading role in making Pakistan drug-free, and this partnership with ANF will only strengthen our mission.”
This visit served as an inspiration for the youth delegation and laid the foundation for stronger institutional collaboration in the national fight against narcotics.
