The Pakistan Youth Parliament (PYP), in collaboration with the Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services (PIPS) successfully organized a one-day conference titled “Parliamentary Practices and Democratic Norms”at the PIPS- Parliament of Pakistan. The event aimed to educate and empower youth leaders on the importance of democratic principles and parliamentary processes.
The conference featured the esteemed presence of Executive Director PIPS, Mr. Rashid Mafzool Zaka, Director General Finance Mr. Haider Abbas, Director General Administration Mir Shai Mazar, and President of the Pakistan Youth Parliament, Muhammad Abubakar. Their participation reinforced the significance of youth engagement in fostering democratic stability.
Youth parliamentarians from across Pakistan participated in four insightful sessions, addressing key topics such as the legislative process, accountability in governance, and the critical role of youth in policy-making. Each session concluded with interactive Q&A discussions, offering participants a chance to exchange ideas and enhance their understanding of parliamentary practices.
Provincial Presidents and Central Executive Committee members of the Pakistan Youth Parliament were also present, showcasing the collective commitment of young leaders to shaping a progressive and democratic Pakistan.
The event highlighted the potential of Pakistan’s youth to lead with purpose, vision, and dedication to democratic values. It concluded with a pledge to continue advocating for transparency, accountability, and active participation in governance.
