Islamabad, May 27, 2024 — A delegation from the Pakistan Youth Parliament, led by President Muhammad Abubakar, visited the Parliament House today. The five-member delegation included Senior Vice President Muhammad Faizan, Coordinators Umair Chand and Nauman Majeed, and President Punjab Malik Waqas Awan.
During their visit, the delegation engaged in productive discussions with various prominent parliamentarians. Among those they met were Aleem Khan, Federal Minister; Sheharyar Afridi, Chairman PTI; Barrister Gohar, Chairman Sunni Ittehad Council; Sahibzada Hamid Raza; Mehmood Khan Achakzai; and Zartaj Gul. The meetings focused on fostering youth involvement in national governance and exploring avenues for greater collaboration between the youth and the government.
President Muhammad Abubakar emphasized the importance of such interactions in bridging the gap between the youth and the political leadership. He stated, “Our aim is to ensure that the voices of the youth are heard and that they have a platform to contribute to the development of Pakistan. The support from our parliamentarians is crucial in achieving this goal.”
The delegation’s visit is part of an ongoing initiative by the Pakistan Youth Parliament to engage with key stakeholders in the government and to advocate for policies that address the needs and aspirations of the young population.
